Phone or FaceTime Therapy

In today’s climate with all of our means of communication, it has become common place for therapists to offer sessions other than face-to-face in person therapy.  There are many reasons as to why this is an ample way for some to get the help that they need.

One such reason is convenience, lack of transportation, illness, accidents that limit mobility, traveling, working away from home, and for some it is less anxiety provoking for them to not travel to an office.  It opens the opportunities up for more people to get help.

One primary reason that I offer it is for my patients and clients who need to check in with me more often than once a week.  This gives them excellent continuity of care, guides them through difficult daily events, and gives them the ability to get their needs met sooner.

Granted, it is not the same as face to face in person therapy, as the therapist can see more of a person’s body language and non verbal cues.  These types of sessions are still very effective.  Please feel free to contact me with your questions or concerns.
